How long have you been in business?
Over 43 years
In 1975, five “founding mothers” began our work by forming a 24-hour rape and sexual assault counseling hotline from their homes. From these humble beginnings, we have evolved and enriched Social Justice Services in Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Human Trafficking, Displaced Homemakers Fatherhood and Early Childhood Education. Today we acknowledge the expansive and diverse client base as we seek to engage and empower individuals from the broadest community. We strive to integrate individuals of all races, ethnicity, national origin, age, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation and physical and intellectual ability.
As our work has evolved so must our identity so in effort to be a beacon to the full community we are excited to announce our new brand:

Our vision is to strive to be the premier Social Justice Agency focused on equitable inclusiveness and our mission remains: To empower individuals and families by working to secure their physical safety, emotional well-being, individual freedom and economic equality. With the community's help Avanzar will continue to provide vital services to victims/survivors while providing safety, working for just causes and empowering individuals, families and communities.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the lead agency in Atlantic County for services to victims and their families, of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. We are the first state funded, statewide service provider for victims of all forms of human trafficking. We are doing work in dismantling institutional racism.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Hammonton, Linwood, coming soon to Pleasantville
